My Story

I have always been drawn to work where I can engage with others and build connections. I first lived in Michigan about 10 years ago. I worked then as an AmeriCorps Volunteer to create and facilitate a women’s group to support advancement in education and career skills. This opportunity allowed me to see that with the right support, change and growth were very possible. I saw first hand the importance of relationships and the power of hope.
In the time since then, I moved back to the east coast to pursue my social work education and to start my family. In my clinical experience I have supported a broad range of ages, identities, and concerns. Along the way, I have worked in public schools, alternative schools, in community clinics, and worked with families at home all of which have informed my approach to supporting the whole system and the whole person.
Now back in Michigan since 2023, I continue to bring my well-rounded experience to my work with young people, families, and adults. I approach my work with deep empathy, authenticity, and warmth. I am an active participant in our work and I pride myself on my “cheer-leader” reputation - prepared to celebrate any and all successes on the path toward change. My approach of exploring the what, while increasing understanding of the why, helps to build insight, increase self-compassion, and move from blame toward change.
When not at work I enjoy time with my family in the outdoors skiing, biking, camping, and most any activity related to water. At almost any time and in any place you will also find me looking down at the ground for cool rocks
